Why study Economics

A BBA in Finance with a concentration in Economics prepares students to be economic & financial analysts, and in addition, analyze and interpret data using modern economic theory.

Students will learn to critically examine markets, identify trends, pricing scales, and forecasting outcomes. Career interests may include: the Federal Reserve System, Economist, Data Analyst, Actuary, and Market Research analyst.

Faculty in this program have a PhD in either economics or finance and routinely publish their research in some of the top academic journals in economics and finance.

Faculty-led experiential opportunities provide student access to real-world connections and experiences. Experiences include: Govs Fund, a student managed investment fund, industry conferences, guest lectures from industry leaders, field trips, and networking opportunities. The College of Business provides funding and scholarship opportunities for students to participate in community events, conferences, and
networking functions. Direct access to the College of Business Career Readiness Coach to help aide in advising, career preparation, and job search.
